Royal Canin Sustainability Foundations Project
We have started a Sustainability Foundations project with Royal Canin to address sustainability practices across its building and office operations in a structured way.
ESG PM’s advisory support is progressing across three areas: assessing current practices, establishing a shared sustainability language across teams, and turning actionable priorities into a roadmap.
What are we doing?
We are carrying out the work across three main areas:
- Current state and on-site review: We are assessing current practices across energy, water, waste, procurement and indoor environmental quality. We are preparing a comprehensive yet practical building-level sustainability checklist and reviewing practices on site through observations and team interviews.
- Training and a shared language: We are delivering sustainability training for multinational teams, with a practical focus on building and office operations. Alongside core concepts, the sessions address how low-cost good practices can be incorporated into daily operations.
- Priorities and roadmap: We are conducting a gap analysis by comparing current practices with good-practice principles. We are distinguishing actions that can be implemented immediately from those that require systems and processes to be established.
A practical micro-roadmap
At the end of the project, the aim is to develop a short-term, practical micro sustainability roadmap tailored to building and office operations.
The roadmap is intended to bring current practices, areas for improvement and priority actions into a shared framework. In this way, we aim to support the integration of sustainability into day-to-day operations.
